Some Motivational Words To Live By by Aydan Corkern

When you live in a privileged nation, you can take things for granted. Industrialized nations, such as the United States, the UK, and others, have access to many things that other people do not have. While some of the poorest people in the world have but a few things that were made by hand, others have an abundance of items and can tend to be a little carefree and negligent with their belongings.

Only when a person is stripped of all of his materialistic items does he realize just how good he had it. It seems, unfortunately, that many people have the mindset of living life to its fullest only when everything is going great and when they have plenty of belongings. Vacations, shopping sprees, and the like can give people the illusion of happiness, but take away those very things and you could be left with just a shell of a man.

Living life to its fullest means adopting a truly positive attitude that can't be beat down. It can be difficult. Oh yes, it can be very difficult to live life to its fullest because negative circumstances beyond your control will find some way to invade your life. Family, medical, and other personal problems can literally flip your world upside down, and that optimism you once had can go down the drain just like that.

It is through your optimistic attitude that you will be able to fully enjoy your life. Even when you don't have plenty of money or plenty of "toys", your attitude alone will keep you young at heart. How many "rich" people do you know that live hollow lives? There are plenty of those and some in particular are celebrities who earn enough money in a year to feed inhabitants of a small remote village... and it comes as no surprise that they need medication, drugs, and promiscuous activities to stay positive.

You may age, and your skin may start to wrinkle, but so long as you live a life that isn't riddled with regrets, you will be young at heart. After all, when dreams start turning into regrets, that is when you truly are an old person. Remain positive through trial and tribulation, have faith if you are a spiritual person, believe in yourself, and adopt an optimistic attitude, and your personal world will start changing for the better.

As Gandhi once said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world".
